The Pursuit
At a Glance
Location: BC | Season: all year | Duration: 5-14 days | Ability: advanced to experts
The Pursuit is engineered for those who chase the extreme edge of backcountry recreation. This tier demands grit, targeting adventurers willing to embrace physical exhaustion for the sake of a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. Paved infrastructure and curated paths are replaced by raw, untamed wilderness.
The Anatomy of the Pursuit
The Pursuit is built on the reality that true apex achievements require a willingness to push far beyond the boundaries of commercial access. We leave the manicured trails behind, trading passive recreation for relentless physical engagement—punching through dense old-growth forests, tracking through deep alpine snow, and navigating volatile coastal waters alongside elite technical guides.
Under this tier, the extreme environment dictates the journey. An expedition might center on a five-day winter survival and heli-skiing mission, executing precision drops onto steep, completely untouched powder bowls far beyond the operational limits of traditional lodges. Another route might chart a grueling, multi-day overland UTV expedition deep into the northern Skeena region, tracking bull moose on foot. On the coast, it can take the form of high-stakes open-water sport fishing and deep-water marine harvesting in unpredictable Pacific conditions.
The intense physical demands of each day are intentionally supported by elite expedition infrastructure. Arrival at camp does not mean checking into a polished resort; it means stepping into a highly specialized, remote spike camp or an isolated backcountry cabin secured exclusively for your team. Despite the raw environment, the standard of care remains uncompromising—every evening provides extreme-weather heating, high-performance culinary menus engineered by field chefs over open flames, and immediate physical recovery protocols managed by dedicated basecamp staff.
Every itinerary within The Pursuit serves as an operational baseline rather than a rigid schedule. Whether your objective is an aggressive alpine descent, a remote overland tracking mission, or a hybrid expedition testing your absolute physical limits, the intensity of the drops, the daily mileage, and the camp infrastructure are engineered entirely around your group's risk tolerance, technical proficiency, and vision.
